Mike Feeney is the Head Golf Professional at StoneRidge Country Club. Mike was born in California but his family soon relocated to Florida. It was in Palm Harbor Florida that Mike began to play golf at the age of 12.
Mike attended the Professional Golfers Career College in 1999 where he received a degree in Golf Management. As an Assistant Golf Professional and later Golf Sales Manager at La Costa Resort & Spa for 6 years, Mike gained much of the experience and knowledge that enabled him to move forward in his career.
Mike came to StoneRidge in March 2005 as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and quickly became part of the Golf Team. In December 2006, when the Head Golf Professional position became available Mike eagerly accepted the challenge. His teaching skills, positive management style and ability to serve the members has proved him to be a valuable asset to the Club.
Assistant Golf Pro Justin Saragueta
StoneRidge Country Club would like to introduce our newest Assistant Professional, Justin Saragueta. Some of you may have had an opportunity to speak with Justin. For those of you whom have not, here are some interesting facts about our newest addition!
Justin’s extensive golf career spans over 15 years and in his words, a hand full of continents. After graduating from the University of Pacific, he started out playing on mini tours in California, Texas, Louisiana and Arizona on the Golden State, Tight Lies and Pepsi tours to name a few. While doing so he was also teaching part time for Nike Golf Schools and Camps throughout the country. During the summer months, around playing, Justin was teaching at some esteem golf courses such as Pebble Beach Golf Resort in historic 17 mile drive and Silverleaf Country Club and Whisper Rock Golf Club in Scottsdale Arizona.
While working for Nike Golf Instruction Justin had some wonderful opportunities to instruct under some top 100 instructors such as Hank Haney and Dave Pelz. He also sat in on seminars given by Butch Harmon and Sean Foley. Eventually his path led him back to Southern California where he worked full time as an Assistant Professional at Talega Golf Club in San Clemente California while still Instructing for Nike Golf Schools and Camps part time.
Not only an established player and instructor, Justin has also caddied for some PGA and Web.com players throughout the past ten years. Some notables include James Hahn and Steven Bowditch, both of which Justin Caddied for on both the Web,com and PGA tours. And the past three years found Justin caddying throughout parts of Europe, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand for Australasian PGA Tour standout Daniel Stevenson.
A welcome addition to StoneRidge Country Club, Justin has many stories and much knowledge of the game to offer. Please take the time to introduce yourself and say hello!
